Last day in Paris

Shopping today to make sure we have bought all the souvenirs needed.  Went in to town and went to Notre Dame, Rue de Rivoli and Champs Elysee.  Bought 40 miniature Eiffel Towers from the gypsys for both classes at Pams school.  Had lunch at a cafe on Rue de Rivoli and went in to any shops we hadn't been in to over the last 10 days.  After lunch we decided to go out to the new commercial centre of Paris where the 'new' Arc de Triumph is built, called La Defence.  After spending 10 days in the older sections of Paris we were amazed how modern this section of the city is.  Modern shopping centres and office complexes.  Had a late smoko then headed back to our little unit to pack.  We will be very sad to leave Paris, loved everything about it, even the language barriers and the getting lost occasionally.
