The Louvre and Warhol Exibition

After our big sporting day yesterday, we thought a day of culture may be in order.  Therefore it's a trip to The Louvre.  Slept in a bit then the Metro into town, it's only about a kilometre but it is so quick on the Metro - they have a train every 3 to 4 minutes, so if you miss one there will be another along shortly.
We were warned about the queues waiting to enter the Louvre, we had no problems and got in under the amazing pyramid entrance.  Went to all the big names – Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and lots of others.  Stayed a couple of hours, I’ve heard of people staying for days, we aren’t looking for THAT much culture.
After lunch we went up to the art gallery where they were having an Andy Warhol exhibition, it was well worth the effort.  He was an amazing artist and his portraits are simply stunning.  So much talent, shame he was only 58 when he died.
Got home about 5 after another busy day.

Lots of artists are given permission to practice their trade in the Louvre, some very talented people in there.

Outside the exhibition - no photos inside.
You get the idea??
